Samples and Outline:
Part of getting organized is mapping out a plan or a outline of the site. It could start with a simple bullated list then a well thought out outline of the main pages and any other sub pages. Sometimes a flow chart or sketching on a pad will visually aid you in making decisions.

Outline Navigation

Flash Links: Support page(support.html), Web Design page(web.html), Template page(temp.html)

Sub 1 Links: How to get started(started.html), Getting organized page(organize.html), Samples and outline(outline.html), Some helpful links(link.html)

Sub 2 Links: Support Page(support.html), Web Design Page(web.html), Template Page(temp.html)

The Color scheme
It is important that you also decide the special colors you wish to incorporate into your site. The main background color for this site is F0F8FF, knowing this I will use it for any Flash backgrounds or transparent gif files.

The Page Structure
Now that the flow of the navigation and pages are mapped, we need to build the page structure to fit all this information into. For a base template I used cascading style sheets to give uniformity to the site, and the ability to make quick global changes. This style has 5 sections which are, the container, header, left navigation, content, and footer.

Each one of these sections can be adjusted, for example in size, color, boarders, scrolling, background, pictures, and much more. I like keeping the width of the pages no more than 700 pixels, so they can be viewed on a laptop without the user having to scroll over. Next I will use Illustrator to mock up a design, carefully making sure that the dimensions correspond to the Template Page.
